Al-Budair inspects the development work in the residential suburbs and developmental housing units in Jeddah.

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Engineer Abdullah Al-Budair, today inspected a number of housing projects in Jeddah Governorate, which includes 3 out of 8 residential suburbs in the Kingdom, with the aim of reviewing the progress of work, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the housing supply and provide suitable housing options for Saudi families.

His Excellency reviewed the progress of development work in it as part of the efforts made to increase the supply of residential real estate in partnership with real estate developers from the private sector, and to provide housing units for the most needy families benefiting from the developmental housing program in partnership with development associations in the Makkah region, which is witnessing an increase in the number of units for beneficiaries of “Sakani” and “developmental housing” during the current year.

His Excellency visited the Manarat Al Safwa project, located north of Asfan Road, and followed up on the ongoing work in the Bouvardia City project, which is located in the Al Jawhara suburb, which extends over an area of more than two million square meters to provide more than 7,000 units. His Excellency also inspected the progress of work in the Jawharat Al Rusaifa residential project.

Al-Budair then headed to visit the A’ali Jeddah project, which is located in the Al-Mayar suburb, one of the major suburbs with an area of 3.9 million square meters and provides more than 17,000 housing units of varying sizes, distinguished by their diverse designs that combine simplicity and modernity, in addition to including all facilities, in order to meet the Ministry’s goals of providing an integrated residential environment for families.

During his tour, His Excellency praised the level of achievement in the suburbs of Jeddah Governorate, which exceeded (70%), and stressed the need to continue implementing the projects according to the agreed timetables, stressing that the Ministry will continue to supervise and follow up to ensure that the projects are implemented with high efficiency and on time in preparation for handing them over to the beneficiaries.

Jeddah Governorate is witnessing an increase in the number of projects and housing units during the current year, which provide more than (57) thousand diverse housing units, including villas, townhouses and apartments, most of which are located within the three residential suburbs (Al-Jawhara, Al-Mayar and Khayala) - developed by the National Housing Corporation (NHC ).

The Ministry continues its efforts with the unlimited support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them - for the housing sector, in order to enable citizens to obtain suitable housing that meets their aspirations and desires, by enhancing the real estate supply and diversifying housing options at reasonable prices in order to achieve the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
