The White Land Program revealed that the Al-Narjis and Al-Aard neighborhoods contain the highest developed but undeveloped white lands with total areas exceeding 4 million square meters, and can provide more than 13,500 housing units if these areas are developed, noting that the areas of developed but undeveloped lands in the Al-Narjis neighborhood amount to 2.3 million square meters, while the areas of white lands in the Al-Aard neighborhood exceeded 1.6 million square meters.
The program emphasized that developing the undeveloped land that was registered in Riyadh could provide tens of thousands of housing units in neighborhoods that include undeveloped land that meets the criteria of the second phase within the announced scope in the city of Riyadh, thus achieving a balance between supply and demand for housing products in Riyadh.
It is noted that the program previously announced the registration of more than 16 million square meters of developed white land that meet the criteria of the second phase of fees in 21 residential neighborhoods in the city of Riyadh; these are the highest in terms of land areas, representing more than 63% of the total registered areas (25 million square meters) after the issuance of the first round of invoices for the second phase on August 15 for lands in 100 neighborhoods in Riyadh.
The White Land Fees Program began implementing the second phase of the fees in Riyadh last December, after completing all the necessary regulatory procedures, and in accordance with the results of the demographic and economic studies conducted by the program in cooperation with the relevant authorities. This comes within the framework of the program’s efforts to increase the supply of developed land in Riyadh in order to achieve a balance between supply and demand, and to provide residential land at reasonable prices.
