As part of the Ministry of Municipality and Housing's efforts in digital transformation
"Baladi" launches an online service for rehabilitating used furniture transport facilities and combating public health pests.
The “Baladi” platform launched a service to obtain electronically a certificate of qualification for facilities for transporting used furniture and electrical appliances, and facilities for combating public health pests, which aims to ensure the efficiency of facilities operating in these activities, achieve fair competition in the market, increase confidence in these facilities, in addition to raising the level of quality of services provided and verifying the capabilities of service providers in implementing projects with the required quality.
The ministry stressed that establishments that obtain a qualification certificate in these activities will be registered in the approved lists on the ministry’s website, which contributes to increasing their credibility and specialization in providing services to those wishing to obtain the service by communicating with them directly. It pointed out that the procedures for qualifying establishments are done electronically through the City Services Providers Classification Portal on the “Baladi” platform, by accessing the qualification request service to provide public health pest control services, filling in the fields and uploading all the documents required for qualification, and stressing that the service will be a basic requirement for issuing the license.
This initiative comes at a time when the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing is undergoing a digital transformation in all areas, strengthening effective partnership efforts with the private sector, automating all system services to be easier and more effective, and achieving the Ministry’s strategic objectives in the municipal and housing sectors according to a sustainable digital system that aims to reach leading services for smart and innovative digital cities that provide a prosperous life for customers, developing new business models and innovative customer journeys, enabling investment opportunities from data and services, raising the level of customer satisfaction and participation, as well as providing unified and reliable data to improve the flexibility and efficiency of the digital system.
