In celebration of the great national achievements during the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Crown Prince - may God protect them - the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, in conjunction with the 92nd National Day celebrations, is holding an exhibition (Distinguished City Projects in the Era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques 2022). The exhibition will be held from September 24 to 28 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, which aims to highlight the huge projects that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing during the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him.

The exhibition includes several tracks, the most important of which is the technical services track developed by the ministry to make things easier for beneficiaries in all municipal and housing sectors, facilitate access to services and speed up the response process, in addition to saving time and effort for investors to obtain the necessary licenses to start their projects .

As part of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing's commitment to developing digital transformation processes in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, it launched the "Baladi" platform, which is dedicated to serving the municipal sector in its entirety. The volume of electronic transactions across all the services provided by the platform has exceeded 5 million transactions. This year, more than 900,000 commercial licenses were registered, representing a growth of nearly 24%. In addition, more than 1.6 million requests were received through the platform, representing a growth of approximately 38% up to last August, across more than 180 services. "Baladi" is distinguished by the ease with which beneficiaries can access its services through an effective system for data protection and tracking of electronic transactions, facilitating communication and interaction with relevant authorities, in addition to measuring performance indicators to ensure that data reaches officials accurately to make appropriate decisions.

The “Sakani” platform, which provides its services through 5 main services, starting with knowing the immediate eligibility status, booking and viewing residential units and lands after knowing their locations and features, obtaining price offers from financing entities, the real estate advisor service, engineering designs, interior designs, issuing building permits for self-build beneficiaries, the real estate market and other services. The platform also reviews residential projects and ready and “under construction” residential units with diverse designs, models and spaces, in addition to reviewing residential plans in all cities of the Kingdom .

The “Ejar” platform complements the ongoing efforts of the Ministry of Municipality and Housing in regulating the real estate market. The platform aims to enhance the reliability of the real estate rental sector, preserve the rights of all related parties, including landlords, tenants, and real estate brokers, formulate standardized rental contracts that meet the needs of beneficiaries, improve the sector’s performance and increase its contribution to the GDP, and reduce disputes through contract documentation. The number of units registered on the platform exceeds 3 million units since the program’s launch, with an average of 3,500 documented contracts per day .

Meanwhile, the “Furs” platform, which is concerned with organizing the municipal investment field, has gathered all investment opportunities in the sector in various cities and governorates of the Kingdom into one platform, through which tender documents can be obtained and suitable opportunities and their timing can be identified, which has opened up wider horizons for greater participation and fair competition.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing has entered into partnerships and agreements with various bodies and sectors, in order to enhance its role in providing distinguished technical and digital services that help improve the quality of life for beneficiaries and achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 .
