"Ejar": One million commercial contracts documented on the electronic rental services network

The Ejar program announced that the commercial rental sector has achieved record numbers by documenting more than one million commercial rental contracts on the electronic rental services network since its establishment, revealing that nearly 500,000 commercial rental contracts were documented during the past 12 months, and indicating that these numbers were achieved in light of the services and features provided by the Ejar network to beneficiaries of the commercial real estate rental sector.

Ejar explained that it always seeks to accommodate the requirements and changes of the commercial rental sector, and to register all commercial rental contracts of both standardized and non-standardized types, in order to preserve the rights of the parties and improve the efficiency of transactions in the real estate rental sector in the Kingdom, increase confidence in financial and contractual transactions, and facilitate procedures by providing multiple payment options and diverse payment channels, in addition to the other quality services provided by Ejar.

The network offers a number of advantages to the commercial rental sector, including digital integration with entities in the public and private sectors, such as the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Investment, and linking with the Baladi platform.

This commercial contract in “Ejar” provides a number of important advantages for the commercial real estate sector, such as the conditional contract, flexibility in drafting clauses and obligations, granting greater powers to the tenant, retroactive registration of commercial lease contracts, calculation of added value, flexibility of payments and variety of payment mechanisms, and variety of properties (commercial centers, shops, kiosks, warehouses) and others.

“Ejar” added several advantages that attracted beneficiaries from the real estate rental sector to take advantage of them, such as the rental index, receipt and delivery, rental behavior, electronic documentation of contracts directly through the network, and the availability of various payment channels for rental payments, including: “Mada” and “SADAD”, and topping up balances, as well as enabling beneficiaries to pay payments in part, in addition to having strategic partnerships with other entities, which enable the transfer of services in the name of the actual user of the rental unit.
