His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, met today with His Excellency the Minister of Municipality in the State of Qatar, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Subaie, during his official visit to the sisterly State of Qatar, which lasts for two days.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the municipal and housing sectors, and the importance of exchanging experiences and expertise between the two sides in order to achieve their common interests. This took place in the presence of the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Qatar, His Highness Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud.
His Excellency was briefed at the General Office of the Qatari Ministry of Municipality on the Expo Doha 2023 event, which aims to encourage an increase in green spaces and find solutions to combat desertification towards a green desert environment, as the exhibition is scheduled to be held at the end of this year.
His Excellency Minister Majid Al-Hogail also visited the Unified Contact Center, followed by a tour of the “Msheireb” tourist area where he was briefed on housing projects and the transportation plan within the area, followed by a visit to the “Qatar Rail” metro station and then a tour inside Katara Village.
