The Minister of Municipality and Housing inspects development and investment projects in the Al-Jawf region.

Today, His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, inspected a number of development projects implemented by the Al-Jouf Region Municipality in the city of Sakaka, with the aim of reviewing the progress of work on projects that serve the residents and reviewing the investment opportunities that the Ministry provides to the private sector during his visit to the region, accompanied by the Secretary of the Al-Jouf Region, Engineer Atef bin Mohammed Al-Shar’an, and a number of the Ministry’s leaders.

During the visit, His Excellency directed that the best services be provided to citizens and residents in the region, according to easy and convenient procedures, noting the need to continue implementing projects according to the time schedules to reach the specified completion rates in a way that meets the needs of the region’s residents. He also directed that investment opportunities be made available to companies and institutions to meet the demand for quality projects with the aim of raising the quality of life and improving the region’s services in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by advancing in the indicators of the most livable cities.

During his tour, Al-Haqil inspected several development projects, including the project to develop the area surrounding the King Abdullah Cultural Center in Sakaka. The Secretary of the Al-Jawf region presented an overview of the project, which has exceeded 61% completion and is located on an area of up to 500,000 square meters at an estimated cost of 27 million riyals. The tour also included an inspection of the project to develop the area surrounding Zaabal Castle, which is valued at more than 8 million riyals, in addition to visiting the project to construct bridges and tunnels at the intersection of King Khalid Road with Prince Abdul Rahman Al-Sudairi Road, which is 1,750 meters long, where the completion rate in the first phase reached 89%, at a cost of 66 million riyals.

He also visited the “Al-Jawf Boulevard” project, which is distinguished by its vital location and includes a range of services, facilities, restaurants, cinemas, a health club, and a hotel on an area of more than 22,000 square meters. The visit also included a multi-activity commercial complex, an investment project for an integrated entertainment city, and a model educational complex designed according to the latest models.

At the end of his tour, Al-Haqil praised the advanced completion rates and work progress, stressing the need to follow up on projects and their completion levels in coordination with the concerned authorities. He expressed his thanks to the Governor of Al-Jawf Region, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for their continuous support for the region and its people. He also commended the efforts of the Al-Jawf Region Municipality in utilizing vital investment sites that serve the region’s residents, contributing to increased revenues and stimulating economic, commercial and investment activity.
