The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing signed memoranda of understanding with the private sector as part of its participation in the “LEAP 23” exhibition and conference, to enhance partnership and explore cooperation opportunities in the fields of cloud computing, communications services, infrastructure and smart cities, under the patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Ehab Al-Hashani.
The Ministry was represented at the signing ceremony with Alibaba Saudi Arabia and Mobily by the Undersecretary for Digital Transformation and Smart Cities, Engineer Musaed Al-Otaibi, while Alibaba was represented by its CEO, Engineer Talal Al-Bakr, and Mobily Business was represented by the CEO of the Business Sector, Majid Al-Otaibi.
A third memorandum of understanding was also signed to develop data services and digital business solutions with Masdar Data Solutions, with the Ministry represented in the signing by the General Supervisor of Customer Experience, Talal Al-Khunaini, while Masdar was represented in the signing by the Executive Director, Bader Al-Dakhil.
It is worth noting that these agreements promote the exchange of expertise between the public and private sectors in various fields, which is reflected positively in the development of business and the use of diverse digital solutions to achieve digital transformation in cities, and the development of infrastructure, cloud storage services and database-related tools, which facilitate data exchange and access mechanisms.
