The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding with the Arab National Bank and the Kafa’a Association for Operation and Maintenance, with the aim of establishing integrated business incubators that enable mobile traders accredited by the Ministry to conduct their activities in a safe and organized environment and at affordable costs .

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Ministry by Her Royal Highness Princess Najoud bint Hathloul bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the General Supervisor of the team supporting, developing and empowering accredited mobile traders, while on behalf of the Arab National Bank it was signed by Khalid Al-Rashed, Head of Retail Banking, and on behalf of the Kafa’a Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors Hamoud bin Obaid Al-Anzi .

Under the memorandum, the Arab National Bank finances the establishment of business incubators, while the Kafa’a Association undertakes the implementation of construction, operation, maintenance and development works, in addition to handing over sales outlets to beneficiaries and providing training programs that contribute to raising the quality of products and enhancing the competitiveness of mobile traders .

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing is responsible for the overall supervision of the implementation of the initiative and for coordinating with relevant authorities, in order to provide model sales outlets with unified standards in various regions of the Kingdom .

This partnership comes as an extension of the Ministry’s efforts to regulate the activity of accredited mobile traders and empower them economically, and to enhance integration between the government, private and non-profit sectors to support job opportunities and the development of small projects, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 .

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, in cooperation with the regional secretariats, launched the “Saudi Arabia Goodness Basta” initiative, which aims to regulate the activity of accredited mobile traders and empower them economically through accredited sites and sales outlets prepared according to unified standards .

The second season of the initiative was launched at the beginning of the current month of Ramadan in various regions of the Kingdom, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to develop the working environment for mobile traders and transform their work sites into organized business models that contribute to improving the urban landscape and enhancing the quality of life, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
