The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing invites the public and interested parties to provide feedback on updating the work guide for construction sites via the "Survey" platform.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing called on the public, interested specialists, and relevant authorities to provide their views and suggestions on the project to update the "Construction Sites Work Guide" through the "Survey" platform, within the framework of enhancing transparency and the participation of beneficiaries in developing regulatory systems and requirements.

The ministry explained that the project aims to add and update a number of technical and regulatory requirements and conditions related to its specialization, after reviewing them in coordination with the relevant authorities, in order to contribute to raising the level of compliance and improving the quality of the outputs of the construction sector, and to serve both government agencies and the private sector.

She explained that the proposed updates included strengthening occupational safety and health requirements at construction sites, by emphasizing the preparation of integrated safety and environmental plans under the supervision of qualified specialists, in addition to expanding the scope of insurance coverage to include the protection of workers and related parties.

The amendments also included raising the standards for operating equipment and cranes through more precise requirements for inspecting, operating and documenting their work, in addition to strengthening waste management requirements to ensure safe handling in accordance with approved environmental regulations.

The ministry stressed its commitment to making the updated version of the guide available through the “Survey” platform to enrich it with the views of the public and specialists, noting that these contributions represent a fundamental pillar in developing the guide and raising its efficiency, which enhances the safety of construction sites and improves the quality of projects in the Kingdom.
