The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announces its readiness for the holy month of Ramadan and carries out more than 3,000 inspection tours in the Holy City of Mecca.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced the implementation of 3,474 inspection tours in the Holy Capital as part of its preparations for the Ramadan and Umrah season of 1447 AH, through the ministry’s inspection teams, represented by the Holy Capital Municipality.

The inspection tours included food establishments and commercial activities, to verify compliance with health and municipal requirements, and to apply the regulatory procedures against violators, in order to enhance food safety and the quality of services provided.

As part of raising the readiness of catering services, more than 370 kitchens were rehabilitated according to the highest approved health requirements, within an integrated monitoring system that ensures compliance with regulatory standards and achieving advanced levels of food safety during the holy month.

The ministry confirmed that field monitoring operations will continue around the clock, in line with the high volume of traffic in the holy city, and will ensure the safety of pilgrims and residents during the Umrah season in the holy month of Ramadan.
