The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announces the readiness of its system in Jeddah to serve the pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1447 AH.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Jeddah Governorate Secretariat, announced the completion of its municipal system’s readiness to serve the pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1447 AH, as part of its efforts to raise the efficiency of municipal services and enhance the readiness of vital sites and roads leading to Makkah, in order to facilitate the pilgrims’ journey and raise the efficiency of the services provided to them.

The ministry explained that the readiness included intensifying municipal and regulatory work, raising operational readiness in high-density locations, in addition to preparing the surroundings of the Miqat Yalamlam and Al-Jahfah within the governorates of Al-Lith and Rabigh.

The ministry has mobilized more than 6,000 human resources, more than 700 pieces of equipment and machinery, in addition to emergency teams working around the clock to support field operations and enhance the speed of response, in order to ensure the continuity of municipal services with high efficiency.

On the regulatory side, the Jeddah Governorate Municipality intensified its tours of food, commercial and health establishments, including restaurants, markets, shopping centers, hotels and serviced apartments; the regulatory tours resulted in recording high levels of compliance in more than 2,850 establishments according to municipal requirements and standards.

The ministry confirmed the readiness of digital service channels via the “Baladi” application, as well as the unified number 940, to ensure the rapid processing of reports and response to them around the clock.

These efforts are part of an integrated national system to serve the guests of God, through which the Ministry completes the readiness of its municipal system that it announced in Makkah, the Holy Sites, Madinah and Taif, through integrated operational and field plans aimed at raising the efficiency of municipal and health services, and enhancing readiness in cities, ports, Hajj routes and vital sites related to the pilgrims’ journey until their arrival at the Holy Sites, in a way that reflects the Kingdom’s readiness to receive the guests of God.
