The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing is conducting more than 17,000 inspection tours in Medina as part of its preparations for the holy month of Ramadan.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Madinah Municipality, has intensified its field and operational preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, through an integrated plan aimed at raising the level of service readiness, enhancing the efficiency of municipal performance, and ensuring the continuity of services provided to the residents and visitors of Madinah during the holy month.

The ministry explained that the ongoing operational plan involves more than 5,700 personnel, supported by more than 1,230 pieces of equipment and machinery, reflecting the scale of field preparations and the ability of municipal teams to deal with the expected density and increased pace of activities during the month of Ramadan.

She explained that the preparations focus on intensifying health and commercial inspection tours, raising the level of compliance with regulatory requirements, and strengthening oversight of activities related to public health and food safety, in order to ensure a safe and healthy environment for beneficiaries.

In this context, the Ministry carries out more than 13,000 inspection tours of health activities, and about 4,000 inspection tours of commercial activities, in addition to taking 8,000 samples of food and water to verify their compliance with approved health requirements, within an integrated monitoring system based on accurate performance indicators.

The ministry also raised the readiness of emergency teams by implementing 12 alternative plans, ensuring a rapid response to emergencies and the continued provision of municipal services with high efficiency during peak times, through its executive arm, the Madinah Municipality.

It is noted that the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing continues to carry out its supervisory and field work throughout the holy month of Ramadan, while monitoring performance indicators and measuring the efficiency of implementation on a regular basis, in order to enhance operational readiness and improve the quality of municipal services provided to the residents of Madinah and its visitors during the holy month.
