The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Holy Capital Municipality, continues its field efforts to monitor the infrastructure projects of the service agencies within the Holy Sites during the Hajj season of 1447 AH, through a coordination and monitoring system aimed at raising the quality of implementation, controlling excavation work, and maintaining the readiness of roads and facilities that serve the guests of God.
The efforts included monitoring approximately 1,986 permits issued for infrastructure projects, and conducting more than 1,260 visits to issued excavation permits, with a total length exceeding 114,000 meters, in a field route that links the work of service agencies with the needs of movement, service and safety within the holy sites.
The Holy Capital Municipality also carried out more than 1,150 field survey visits to the streets, in addition to more than 1,010 visits to confirm and control the quality of infrastructure projects, achieving a compliance rate of nearly 97%, which reflects an advanced level of follow-up, accuracy in coordination, and keenness to reduce the impact of field work on traffic and services.
The Holy Capital Municipality, through the General Directorate for Project Coordination, is working to harmonize the work of service providers in the Holy Sites, raise the efficiency of implementation, and monitor compliance with permits and technical requirements, in order to ensure the continued municipal readiness in vital locations, and to make every completed project more connected to the comfort and safety of the pilgrim.
These efforts fall within the preparations of the municipalities and housing system for the Hajj season of 1447 AH, and the field and coordination work it undertakes to ensure a safe and organized urban environment that keeps pace with the honor of serving the guests of God, and supports the quality of services provided to them on their spiritual journey.
