The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing activated an integrated system for monitoring and field response around the clock in Makkah and the holy sites during the Hajj season of 1447 AH, which enhances the speed of dealing with reports and raises the efficiency of operational coordination in vital locations.
The ministry explained that the system receives approximately 30,000 reports through the "Baladi" platform and its associated operational channels, indicating that the field teams carry out more than 4,500 operational tours daily, in addition to monitoring and addressing approximately 2,000 observations daily, which enhances field readiness and supports rapid decision-making in high-density locations. It emphasized that the monitoring system relies on the integration of operations rooms, field teams, and digital monitoring systems, which ensures the continuity of municipal services and raises the efficiency of response during the season.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing had announced, as part of its operational plans for the Hajj season of 1447 AH, the operation of more than 66 field service centers, in addition to the implementation and equipping of 20 pedestrian bridges and 18 tunnels, and the preparation of more than 62 tunnels for pedestrians and vehicles, and the operation of more than 330,000 lighting units and 150,000 lighting poles in Makkah and the Holy Sites, which enhances the efficiency of movement and raises the levels of safety and services provided to the guests of God.
Health and food safety monitoring work has been intensified through more than 2,800 daily monitoring visits and 5 advanced laboratories with an operational capacity of up to 1,300 samples per day, in addition to the readiness of the accommodation centers system in the holy sites with a capacity of up to 45,000 pilgrims within the emergency and field response plans during the season.
