Ministry of Municipalities and Housing: 8,427 Saudi families benefited from housing support during January 2026

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced that 8,427 Saudi families benefited from housing support services during January 2026 in various regions of the Kingdom, as part of the efforts of the Sakani” program to enable Saudi families to own suitable housing, and to achieve the objectives of the Housing Program – one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030.

The ministry explained that the Riyadh region accounted for 26% of the total beneficiary families, followed by the Makkah region at 18%, and then the Eastern region at 14%, while the percentages were distributed among the rest of the regions of the Kingdom, in confirmation of the wide scope of benefit and the diversity of housing demand at the regional level.

She indicated that the average daily execution of residential product contracts during January reached 428 contracts per day, continuing the pace of housing empowerment and accelerating ownership procedures for eligible families.

The ministry affirmed that the Sakani” program continues to provide a comprehensive package of housing options, including ready-made units, units under construction within off-plan sales projects spread across most regions of the Kingdom, in addition to the self-build option and residential lands, thus providing diverse options that suit the needs and desires of families.

She pointed out that the housing projects implemented in partnership with real estate developers, along with the financing solutions provided in conjunction with financing entities and banks, have contributed to enhancing the housing supply and expanding ownership options, in accordance with an integrated regulatory system aimed at achieving sustainability in the sector.

The ministry stated that the total number of contracts signed since the launch of the Sakani program in 2017 until the end of January 2026 reached 1,016,886 contracts for beneficiaries in various regions of the Kingdom, reflecting the cumulative impact of the program in enabling Saudi families to own their homes.

His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, had previously announced that the rate of home ownership among Saudi families would exceed 66.24% by the end of 2025, in an indication of the progress made towards achieving the objectives of the housing program, and strengthening the role of partnership between the public and private sectors in supporting the housing market.

The ministry affirmed its commitment to enhancing the housing supply and launching more housing projects and options in various regions, which will contribute to meeting the needs of Saudi families, achieving balance in the real estate market, and supporting the sustainability of the sector.
