The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Holy Capital Municipality, continues to implement its operational and service plans in Mina during the Day of Sacrifice and the days of Tashreeq, by strengthening the field work system and raising the readiness of the municipal service centers spread throughout the area, within its operational plan for the Hajj season of 1447 AH, in order to ensure the continuity of municipal services and raise the efficiency of operational performance to serve the guests of God.
The field teams continue to monitor health inspections of food shops and accommodation sites, in addition to intensifying cleaning and environmental sanitation work and removing waste promptly, while strengthening monitoring tours to address negative phenomena that may affect the health and safety of pilgrims, in order to contribute to maintaining a healthy environment within the holy sites.
The ministry explained that its operational plan for the Hajj season saw the deployment of more than 22,000 human resources, supported by more than 3,000 pieces of equipment and machinery, in addition to the operation of more than 88,000 waste units, while the quantities of waste collected in the holy sites exceeded 15,800 tons, within an integrated system of cleaning and environmental sanitation work.
The Ministry also supported field monitoring and response to operational reports through municipal service centers in the Holy Sites, supported by the unified reporting center 940 and digital channels, where reports and emergency cases are handled around the clock; this ensures a rapid response and continuity of municipal services, and enhances the efficiency of handling reports related to public hygiene, environmental sanitation and field services in the Holy Sites.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing affirmed the continuation of its operational and regulatory plans according to an integrated system that operates around the clock, with the aim of improving the quality of municipal services provided to the pilgrims, and enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
