The Ministry of Municipality and Housing and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority sign two memoranda of cooperation to benefit from the "Opportunities" portal and to exchange experiences.

Today, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority signed two memoranda of cooperation aimed at strengthening aspects of joint cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two sectors, in addition to benefiting from the "Opportunities" platform provided by the Ministry to present and manage investment opportunities.

The memorandum of cooperation was signed by His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and His Excellency the Governor of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, Engineer Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi.

Through the cooperation agreement, the two sectors seek to raise the level of coordination, enhance aspects of joint cooperation, and exchange experiences and information, in order to contribute to achieving integrated work, governing the relationship and cooperation, and developing joint business and electronic services between the two sectors.

The other memorandum of understanding aims to enable the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority to benefit from the “Opportunities” portal, which will contribute to developing ways of presenting projects and investments that fall under the authority’s jurisdiction, by announcing them through the municipal investment portal “Opportunities”, which will contribute to improving the investment environment and enhancing competitiveness for the opportunities offered by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.

The memorandum of understanding was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing by the Undersecretary for Investment and Revenue Development, Hashem bin Ibrahim Al-Fawaz, while on behalf of the Authority it was signed by the Deputy Governor for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Khalid bin Saleh Al-Muzaini.
