The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and the National Housing Company ( NHC ) are participating in the International Real Estate Exhibition ( MIPIM 2022 ) in Cannes, France, under the umbrella of “Invest in Saudi Arabia.” The participation comes as part of a group of government agencies and Saudi companies at the exhibition during the period of March 15-18.

The exhibition aims to highlight investment opportunities in the real estate sector and the government facilities provided to developers and contractors in the sector in order to enhance the real estate supply and achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which are to raise the percentage of home ownership for citizens to 70% by the year 2030, to reach 3 Saudi cities among the top 100 most livable cities in the world, to raise the percentage of private sector contribution to 65% of GDP, and the percentage of foreign investment to 5.7% of GDP.

During the sessions accompanying the International Real Estate Exhibition, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Real Estate Development, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Tawil, and the CEO of the National Housing Company ( NHC ), Engineer Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Bati, will review the future of real estate investment in Saudi Arabia, the facilities provided to real estate developers to establish advanced residential communities within major residential suburbs, as well as the future of real estate development in light of the demand for housing units.

The two speakers will discuss, as part of their participation, the role of the housing system in developing the residential real estate sector and enhancing partnership with the private sector to stimulate an increase in the supply of suitable housing in line with the size and type of demand, and to attract and enable real estate developers within small and medium enterprises to invest and expand their businesses by taking advantage of the regulatory initiatives and programs governing the market.

The Saudi pavilion at the International Real Estate Exhibition witnessed a visit from a number of participating delegations, headed by the Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and a number of other companies and government agencies, with the aim of learning about the facilities available to enable real estate developers within the housing system.

It is worth mentioning that the International Real Estate Exhibition ( MIPIM 2022 ) is the most prominent international event in the field of real estate, as it provides multiple opportunities through investors, and works to facilitate business between investors, to access the largest number of development projects around the world.
