The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing has detected a fake account on the social networking site "Instagram" and a fake website claiming to receive compensation requests for Jeddah neighborhoods, and a contact number calling on citizens to upload personal data and official documents for people and properties.
As part of the Ministry’s commitment to protecting and preserving the rights and interests of the targeted groups, it draws everyone’s attention to being cautious about dealing with this fake website on the Internet and advises against downloading any personal files belonging to them in order to preserve the privacy of their information, stressing that the official website of the Ministry is https://www.momrah.gov.sa .
The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing urged everyone to exercise caution and avoid dealing with suspicious and unreliable individuals and websites. It also emphasized that all compensation processes resulting from the removal of informal settlements in Jeddah are conducted through a specific mechanism explained by the Jeddah Municipality. The Ministry noted that applications are received through the Jeddah Municipality's electronic portal, where any citizen can apply for compensation via the provided link.
