The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing announced the professions that require a professional license in the field of car maintenance, effective June 1, 2023.
The ministry explained in a press statement today that there are 15 professions that require licensing to practice activities related to car maintenance, including: “Radiator technician, vehicle glass installer, car mechanic, engine lathe technician, car inspection technician, light vehicle maintenance technician, car electrician, brake mechanic, vehicle body repair welder, vehicle upholsterer, vehicle body tinsmith, vehicle air conditioning mechanic, thermal insulation worker, vehicle painter, and car lubricator.”
This comes as part of the Ministry’s keenness to raise awareness of the importance of issuing a professional license certificate for workers in a number of commercial activities that it supervises, starting from June 1, 2023, as the license has become one of the requirements for practicing professional professions and issuing and renewing commercial licenses for establishments, in order to activate and empower the private sector and facilitate the work of investors and support them, which contributes to raising the quality of services provided to customers.
The ministry urged beneficiaries to deal with licensed and insured craft workers by requesting to see their licenses, in order to ensure the quality of service provided and compensation for damages in the event of accidents. It noted that the craft license provides a competitive advantage for establishments to customers, and it can be obtained in simple and easy steps through the link https://balady.gov.sa//Services?id=327 .
