The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing confirmed that the open data platform for commercial and construction licenses aims to improve government services and spread transparency in the municipal sector, by enabling visitors to the platform to benefit from the published data for commercial and construction licenses, which comes within the initiatives of the Baladi digital platform to contribute to improving the quality of municipal services provided and raising customer satisfaction, in order to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The ministry explained in a press statement today that the platform provides many advantages, most notably providing heat maps for commercial and construction licenses, interactive graphs and filtering, in addition to providing the ability to view results according to geographical and temporal distribution.
The open data platform for commercial and construction licenses is characterized by reviewing and analyzing data, enabling the user to determine the optimal location for his establishment by selecting the Secretariat and sub-municipality, then selecting the type of license, and then determining the available options. It also allows the use of the commercial and construction licenses data dashboard to know the exact geographical location of the citizen’s private commercial establishment.
