"Sakani" report: More than 20,000 families moved into their homes during March 2022

The “Sakani” program issued its report for the month of April, including its most prominent achievements during the first quarter of this year 2022. The report highlighted the number of families who moved into their homes during the past month of March by taking advantage of the housing options and financing solutions provided by the program, which amounted to 20,729 families, while 16,662 families benefited from the various “Sakani” services.
This comes as a continuation of the program’s efforts to enable Saudi families to own their first home, in line with the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programs - to reach a 70% homeownership rate by 2030. The report explained that the total number of certificates for bearing the real estate transaction tax for the first home since the beginning of the program until the end of last March amounted to 654,568 certificates. The report included the program’s efforts through “Sakani Loyalty” to provide exclusive offers to beneficiary families in partnership with the private sector.
The report reviewed the housing and financing solutions offered by the program, which include the subsidized mortgage loan in cooperation with banks and financing institutions to purchase ready-made housing units, under construction, or self-build units for those who own land, and the reservation of residential land within the “Sakani” program schemes with the aim of increasing ownership rates among citizens.
The “Sakani” report included details of construction updates in more than 90 projects providing more than 120,000 housing units under construction, which were started in partnership with real estate developers from the private sector in all regions and cities of the Kingdom, within 115 projects providing about 150,000 units between apartments, villas and townhouses with average prices of 750,000 riyals.
The report addressed residential lands and the development of plans, as the "Sakani" website and application allows for the reservation of lands and the issuance of their contracts electronically, within 223 residential plans that provide more than 180,000 residential lands distributed in various regions and cities of the Kingdom, and they can be viewed by visiting the electronic platform of the "Sakani" program through the link https://sakani.sa .
It is worth mentioning that the “Sakani” website and application provides a number of housing services and solutions within easy and convenient procedures around the clock, which start from registration and immediate eligibility, reviewing housing options, offers from financing entities in partnership with 18 entities, immediate booking of units and lands, issuing land contracts electronically, the real estate advisor service, “real estate market” options, model designs for self-build beneficiaries, issuing building permits electronically, the approved contractor, and other services.
