Today, His Excellency Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, inaugurated the Sunset Pathway on Jazan northern waterfront. He also inspected a number of developmental projects in the province, including the King Abdullah Suburb Developmental Housing Project, and reviewed the work progress in several MOMRAH’s initiatives in the province.
At the beginning of his visit to the province, Al-Hogail met with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the Prince of Jazan Province. They discussed the updates on the developmental plans in the municipal and housing sectors, as well as future plans for the upcoming phase. He also held a meeting with Jazan Municipality leaders and heads to review the progress and achievements in the ongoing projects and developmental initiatives.
Al-Hogail witnessed the inauguration of the new building of Jazan Municipality and Investors Service Center "Etmam", established by MOMRAH in cooperation with Jazan Municipality. The Center will serve as a headquarters for service providers, individuals, real estate developers, companies, and landowners.
His Excellency attended the delivery of over 100 housing units to beneficiaries of the Development Housing Program for the neediest families. Additionally, he honored the members of the executive committee for addressing visual distortions in Jazan Province and the former Jazan Secretary Naif bin Manahi bin Saeedan.
Al-Hogail also met with a group of investors and businessmen to discuss investment opportunities in the municipal and housing sectors in the province. He witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between Jazan Municipality and several companies for the construction and improvement of parks and squares.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing has signed contracts for developmental and investment projects in Jazan Province and is working on contracts for projects worth over two billion riyals. These projects include the city's linking with the suburb and the international airport, the construction of two bridges at the intersections of Al-Karbus and Mahalia, as well as projects for rainwater drainage and flood hazard mitigation.
