Today, His Excellency Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Developmental Housing Foundation "Sakan", Mr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, launched the "Jood Housing" application. This application aims to develop the services provided by "Sakan" to the beneficiaries, facilitate the process of community contributions in the housing sector, and deliver support to the eligible.
His Excellency emphasized that “Jood Housing” application is part of the efforts to enable the neediest families to own a home and facilitate housing contributions and donations. This is part of a series of efforts witnessed by the housing sector to improve the quality of services provided to beneficiaries and enhance the digital transformation process in the sector, relying on the best technologies and modern systems to serve the goal of the Housing Program - one of the Vision programs - to reach a homeownership rate of 70% by 2030.
The Secretary-General of Developmental Housing Foundation "Sakan", Abdulaziz bin Saleh Alkaridis, explained that the "Jood Housing" platform aims to provide a unique charitable digital experience as the first crowdfunding platform in the Kingdom, and to achieve speed, safety, accuracy and transparency for the donor. He pointed out that the application offers a range of products that meet the needs of contributors and donors.
Alkaridis indicated that "Jood Housing" has contributed since its launch to providing housing for more than 22,000 families, with a total of more than 137,000 beneficiaries of all the services provided by the platform, through community contributions made by 6 million donors and 350 partner associations in all regions of the Kingdom.
The "Jood Housing" platform, through the application, aims to facilitate housing donation contributions for individuals and donors, as the application represents a qualitative leap in improving the quality and facilitating the provision of community contributions, in order to provide homes for the neediest beneficiary families.
It is worth noting that the "Jood Housing" platform is one of the initiatives of the Developmental Housing Foundation "Sakan", which seeks to secure suitable housing for the neediest families, within a reliable and transparent platform to ensure the delivery of housing support to the beneficiary families from the developmental housing sector.
