The General Assembly of the National Housing Company announced its decision to appoint His Excellency Professor Ehab Bin Ghazi Al-Hashani as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, effective February 1, 2023.
His Excellency expressed his gratitude to the previous Board of Directors for their work during the past period, stressing that the company looks forward to working towards achieving Saudi Vision 2030 and achieving high competitiveness in the housing sector at the local, regional and global levels. He added: “Our ambition today is not just to provide suitable housing, but to provide housing that achieves a quality of life and a suitable modern environment that is in line with the best global standards for urban development.”
Al-Hashani pointed out that the National Housing Company seeks to continue its successes and work towards achieving the targets that keep pace with the aspirations of the wise leadership, and that the company should enable the real estate supply system by empowering the private sector towards developing the real estate market and raising the professionalism of the services provided in it, which allows for broader prospects for the company in enhancing the sustainability of its work and the work of the national housing system.
His Excellency had held a number of positions since 1990, working in a number of companies in which he progressed through several positions until he was appointed Managing Director of PepsiCo International in the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan and Advisor to the same company in New York and London. He then moved to become Head of Strategy at the National Commercial Bank, then Vice President of Al Olayan Financing Company, then CEO of Zad Investment Company, then Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asyad Holding Group. His Excellency established several investment houses inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then moved to work as Assistant Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, before a royal decree was issued in July 2022 appointing him Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing with the rank of Excellent.
