Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Meets the Governor of Istanbul and Number of CEOs of Turkish Companies

The Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid Al-Hogail, met during his official visit to the Republic of Turkey, the Governor of Istanbul, Davut Gul, during which they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them.

Al-Hogail discussed the experience of Istanbul in preserving the historical heritage with the urban development witnessed by the city and the challenges it faces, extending the invitation to the Istanbul Governor to visit the Kingdom and attend the Cityscape Global Exhibition, which will be held next September.

Following his meeting with Gul, Al-Hogail held several meetings in the Istanbul municipality with a number of CEOs of Turkish companies specialized in operating cities, where they reviewed their experiences and expertise in managing the operation of public parking, waste recycling and smart cities, and the methods that these companies devised in operating public utilities, and the most prominent problems that they have encountered and the solutions developed by those companies in light of the challenges of urban development in the city.

 During his meeting with the CEOs, Al-Hogail stressed that the Kingdom provides many promising investment opportunities in a qualitative environment that attracts investment in various economic and development sectors and various regions of the Kingdom, including the municipal and housing sectors, he stated that he was looking forward to strengthening cooperation between the Saudi and Turkish sides in the field of real estate development and infrastructure projects and smart cities.
