Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing Meets with Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade and Development

Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail met today, at MOMRAH office in Riyadh with Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio, in the presence of Vice Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing Ihab bin Ghazi Al-Hashani, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the Kingdom Anu-Eerika Viljanen, and officials from both sides.

Al-Hogail welcomed the Finnish Minister and his delegation, and then they reviewed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the municipality and housing sectors and smart cities. They also discussed the most prominent solutions available and the latest technologies used in the fields of modern construction.

During the meeting, the Finnish Minister praised the qualitative advances achieved by the Kingdom in various fields, hoping that joint relations would continue in the interest of the two friendly countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Hogail praised the strong relations between the two countries and the continued cooperation between them in all fields, wishing to continue exchanging experiences and expertise between the two sides in order to achieve their common interests.

His Excellency the Minister of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing visited the Republic of Finland in March of last year. During the visit, he met with a number of senior officials and ministers to discuss ways to enhance cooperation, build strategic partnerships, and exchange expertise between the Kingdom and Finland in various fields.

On the sidelines of the Saudi-Finnish Business Forum hosted by the capital, Oslo, last March, Al-Hogail witnessed the signing of seven agreements and memoranda of understanding between several Saudi and Finnish companies in the fields of housing, engineering solutions, and renewable energy. Other agreements were also signed in the areas of smart city technologies, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, logistics services, and environmental systems.
