The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced the offering of more than 9,700 residential land plots through the "Sakani" platform from the beginning of 2026 until the end of August, continuing its efforts to increase the housing supply and expand the options available to Saudi families in various regions of the Kingdom.
The ministry explained that the total number of plots offered during the period amounted to 9,733 within 54 residential schemes, as an extension of its efforts to make residential lands available and provide diverse options that keep pace with the need and urban growth in cities and governorates.
She explained that the Riyadh region topped the list of regions in terms of the number of plots offered with 2,322 plots, followed by the Qassim region with 2,303 plots, then the Hail region with 1,369 plots, while the Makkah region came with 1,227 plots. These four regions constituted a major part of the residential lands that were made available through the platform during the period. She pointed out that May recorded the highest volume of offerings since the beginning of the year with the availability of 2,002 plots of land, followed by July with 1,830 plots, then August with 1,755 plots, while February witnessed the offering of 1,549 plots.
The ministry affirmed that the offering of residential land comes within an integrated system aimed at enhancing the housing supply and expanding the range of options available to beneficiaries, in addition to the housing and financing products and solutions provided by the “Sakani” platform, which supports families in choosing solutions that suit their needs and capabilities.
She noted that the expansion in making residential land available is in line with the Ministry’s efforts to support urban development, utilize available land, and provide residential environments that meet the needs of the population, while continuing to work on diversifying housing options in the cities and governorates of the Kingdom.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing continues its efforts to achieve the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030 - and to raise the rate of residential ownership, while beneficiaries can view the lands, plans and available options through the "Sakani" platform and application.
