The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing revealed that more than 14,000 families benefited from developmental housing solutions during the first half of 2026, in 13 regions of the Kingdom, as part of its ongoing efforts to enable eligible families to obtain suitable housing solutions, support their family stability and improve their quality of life.

The ministry explained that developmental housing works in partnership with the non-profit sector, represented by housing associations and civil institutions in various regions and governorates of the Kingdom, to reach eligible families, study their needs, and determine appropriate housing solutions for them in accordance with approved procedures and controls.

She explained that determining eligibility for housing solutions is based on studying family cases through social research carried out by partner associations under the supervision of the Ministry, according to a methodology approved by the Saudi Association for Sociology and Community Service, to determine the need and direct housing solutions to those who deserve them.

The developmental housing program is based on a regulatory framework approved under Cabinet Resolutions No. (198) and (603), and it comes within the system of housing programs and initiatives directed to eligible families, with the aim of enhancing housing stability and expanding the range of solutions available to them in accordance with the objectives of the housing sector.
