The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing launched a service to qualify contractors in the municipal sector through the "Baladi Aamal" platform, to enable contracting establishments to meet qualification requirements and obtain accreditation according to unified standards, and to raise the efficiency of service providers and enhance their readiness to implement municipal works and projects.
The ministry explained that the service organizes the contractor qualification journey, starting from completing the regulatory and technical requirements, through evaluating the facility according to quality and operational readiness standards, up to its accreditation in the targeted municipal services and fields.
She explained that the qualification requirements include having a valid commercial registration and municipal license, fulfilling the required classification certificate and memberships, and having the necessary technical staff and expertise, in addition to completing the necessary data and documents through the "Baladi Business" platform.
She emphasized that the service relies on unified evaluation standards to verify the efficiency, reliability, and readiness of facilities, and their ability to carry out work and provide municipal services in accordance with approved technical and professional requirements.
The ministry indicated that contracting establishments have been given a grace period until June 30, 2027 to complete the qualification and accreditation requirements, calling on establishments to take advantage of the grace period and take the initiative to complete the necessary procedures through the platform.
She added that the qualification enables establishments to prepare to work in the targeted municipal services and areas, and raises the quality of work carried out and the efficiency of providing services to beneficiaries, noting that the service is available electronically through the “Baladi Business” platform, where establishments can complete the data, attach the required documents, and follow up on the qualification procedures until the accreditation is issued.
