The Ministry of Municipal Rural Affairs and Housing, represented by the Deputy Ministry for Developmental Housing, has launched "Balady Footprint" Award. The award aims to encourage individual and institutional innovations and initiatives to improve the urban landscape in public facilities across various cities in the Kingdom.
The award seeks to attract innovative solutions and new ideas from individuals and institutions to contribute to the development and improvement of the urban environment in public facilities in cities and provinces of the Kingdom. It aims to enhance community participation and find solutions that contribute to the aesthetic enhancement of cities, thereby achieving economic impact on the regions.
During the launch ceremony of the initiative, Talal bin Mohammed Al-Khunaini, the Deputy Minister for Developmental Housing, emphasized that "Balady Footprint" Award is an initiative that works to make a clear impact in building a better future for Saudi society. It aims to motivate innovators to contribute their ideas in developing the urban landscape of public facilities in different cities, in line with the objectives of the Quality of Life Program, one of the programs of Vision 2030.
Al-Khunaini highlighted that the award contributes to sustainable solutions and encourages positive behaviors to address environmental challenges, reduce visual distortion in public spaces, and improve the urban landscape. This is achieved through promoting sustainable practices, adopting cultural standards, and raising community awareness.
