Riyadh will host the third edition of the International Facilities Management Conference and Exhibition ( SFMA EXPO 2026 ) next Sunday, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, from September 20 to 22, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, under the slogan "Smart Facilities... Smart Cities".
The conference is organized by the Saudi Facilities Management Association, with the participation of more than 225 entities, more than 200 local and international speakers, in addition to more than 120 workshops, to discuss a number of specialized topics in facilities management, modern technologies, operation, maintenance and sustainability solutions, and their role in raising the efficiency of facilities and supporting the transition towards smart cities.
The conference addresses a number of key themes, most notably technology and digital transformation, digital twins and predictive maintenance, sustainability and environmental and social governance, operation and maintenance, workplace strategies and hybrid offices, project management and finance, leadership and strategy, as well as the health and well-being of building occupants.
The conference will be accompanied by an international exhibition in which government agencies, companies, service providers, and technology specialists in facilities management will participate to showcase modern solutions and practices in the sector, in addition to an innovation zone and specialized workshops.
The conference is being held amid the growth witnessed by the facilities management sector in the Kingdom, where the market size exceeded 180 billion riyals in 2024, with expectations of annual growth exceeding 7% until 2030, driven by the expansion of smart city projects and major projects, and the growing demand for operation, maintenance, asset and facilities management solutions.
The Chairman of the Saudi Facilities Management Association, Engineer Ayed bin Awad Al-Qahtani, said: “This edition represents a new milestone in the development of the sector, with a focus on employing data and artificial intelligence to raise the efficiency of facilities, in support of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in building smarter and more sustainable cities.”
It is worth noting that the international conference and exhibition targets a number of governmental, educational, health, industrial, tourism, commercial, sports and transportation sectors, in addition to service providers, technologies and specialized consulting in the field of facilities management.
