The Sakani program announced that about 6,000 plots of land were made available to its beneficiaries in the first half of 2023 through its Sakani website and application in most provinces of the Kingdom. This achievement came within the framework of joint efforts to improve housing affordability to achieve the goals of the Housing Program – one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs – by providing Saudi families with opportunities to own adequate housing.
Under the Sakani program, Makkah Province received 3,982 free plots, distributed according to schemes as follows: (Al-Muruj - 1,826 plots, Al-Rafah - 424 plots, Al-Azhar - 1,065 plots , and Al-Yasmine - 613 plots ), in addition to 54 free land plots in the Province of Rabigh.
The Riyadh region came second with 911 free land plots, while the program provided 224 land plots in the Eastern Province, distributed as follows: (It was distributed among the governorates of (Al-Dawadmi - 679 plots, Afif - 119 plots, Al-Majma'ah - 53 plots, Al-Hareeq - 30 plots of land, and Al-Aflaj - 30 plots). The Program made available 224 lands in the Eastern Region, distributed on (Hafar Al-Batin - 101 plots, Al-Olayya village - 70 plots, and Al-Ahsa - 53 plots), and 61 land plots made available by the program in Al-Hanakiyah Governorate of Al-Madinah Province.
The program provided 168 land plots in the Qassim region, 161 land plots in Turaif Province in the Northern Borders region, 100 plots of land in Abyan Province in Najran, 182 plots of land in Dumat al-Jandal city in Al-Jawf province, and 128 plots of land in Hail region, distributed as (Muwaqq - 65 plots, Samira - 40 plots of land, Al-Ghazala 23 plots of land), and 40 in Jazan and Al-Baha.
The announcement further said the program would continue offering more land parcels in the coming period across the Kingdom through its website. These could be reserved electronically after selecting the appropriate land and fulfilling the contractual obligations. The steps are part of the framework of providing citizens with more options that enable them to obtain appropriate housing that meets their aspirations.
