The Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid Al-Hogail, met at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh today the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of the Republic of Korea, Won Hee-ryong. Deputy Minister of MOMRAH Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Budair and several senior officials attended the meeting.
The two sides reviewed the frameworks for enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries in the municipal and housing sectors and the fields of smart cities. They underscored the importance of continuing work according to the terms of the executive program signed between the two parties in early January in Riyadh. They reviewed joint projects between the two ministries and exchanged information on several new projects supervised by the Ministry.
Meeting participants discussed the opportunities for the Korean side to participate in the "Cityscape Global" exhibition, which will be hosted by Riyadh on September 10–13. Korean real-estate companies were invited to participate in these events in Middle East development.
The two sides reviewed of the progress made by the working group in the digital twin, chatGPT, cloud services, and maps established since the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two parties. They also followed up on the MoU signed between the MOMRAH, the Ministry of Investment, and NAVER.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Al-Hogail praised the remarkable development of relations between the two friendly countries in all fields, and the benefit reflected in the establishment of alliances and strategic partnerships between the two parties. He expressed his wishes to continue exchanging experiences and expertise between the two parties in order to achieve their common interests.
