The Saudi-Turkish Business Forum was inaugurated today in Istanbul, under the sponsorship of the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and the Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat. The Forum will review the Saudi-Turkish investment opportunities and strengthen partnerships between the two sides in urban development and construction, contracting, smart cities, and urban development, under the collaboration between the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey.

During his inauguration speech, Al-Hogail expressed his appreciation to the Saudi-Turkish Business Forum, which signifies the profound historical relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey. Al-Hogail also stated that the forum was an opportunity to enhance cooperation and exchange successful experiences in the municipal and housing sectors.

The minister also highlighted the remarkable progress made by the Kingdom in the economic and developmental sectors, particularly in municipal and housing. He emphasized the importance of efficient strategic planning to achieve the goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. He asserted the need to boost cooperation between the two countries in real estate development, automation, and infrastructure projects.

His Excellency highlighted the abundance of promising and diverse investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom has embarked on an ambitious project to construct over 300,000 housing units, covering an impressive area of 150 million square meters. This endeavor, valued at over SAR 100 billion, has caught the attention of Turkish companies, who are being invited to explore investment prospects in the Kingdom's thriving property market.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Minister of Trade expressed his satisfaction with hosting the Saudi-Turkish Business Forum, which opens up new collaboration opportunities between the two nations in several economic sectors.

Al-Hogail engaged with the Saudi delegation participating in the forum to address the challenges faced by Saudi investors and propose potential solutions. 

He also attended a meeting with the Turkish Minister of Trade, along with Saudi and Turkish investors and businesspeople, to discuss investment opportunities and areas of cooperation between the two sides.

The Saudi Minister witnessed the signing of 16 cooperation agreements worth over SAR 2.3 billion between Saudi and Turkish companies operating in various investment sectors, including real estate development, construction, and engineering consulting.

The Saudi-Turkish Business Forum aims to review opportunities for bilateral investments and strengthening partnerships in urban development, construction, contracting and smart cities, in collaboration with businessmen, investors and specialized companies.
