Sakani: Over 104 Thousand Saudi Families Moved into Their First Home by the End of July 2022
Sakani program announced that a total of 87,467 Saudi families benefited from the wide range of housing options and financing solutions offered through its digital platforms from the beginning of the year until the end of July. Moreover, the number of families who moved into their first home reached 104,492 families, as part of the program’s efforts to achieve the targets of the Housing Program—one of Vision 2030 programs—which aims to raise the homeownership rate among Saudi families to 70% by 2030.
The Program stated that 7,028 families benefited from its services in July alone, while 9,184 families moved into their first homes during the same month.
Sakani has introduced new optional support packages as part of the solutions and options provided to Saudi families, raising the total number of housing and financing options to nine. These new packages include: (Down Payment Support Package, Rent Package, Furniture Package, Self-Construction Package and Home Renovation Package). These packages offer flexible, diverse solutions through non-refundable immediate financial support for beneficiaries of ready units, units under construction, and self-construction options, in partnership with the Real Estate Development Fund, banks, financing institutions, and real estate developers. This reflects Sakani’s continued commitment to sustainable housing support and the importance of offering diverse housing and financing solutions to accelerate homeownership for Saudi families.
Through its website and mobile application, Sakani provides access to 119 projects under construction, in partnership with real estate developers, offering approximately 155,000 residential units including villas, apartments, and townhouses. Most of these are located within seven major residential suburbs across Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah, and Khamis Mushait, offering a modern lifestyle that combines high-quality housing units, in line with international standards, with integrated services and facilities—all at an average price of SAR 750,000.
