- Issuance of 6,221 electronic land contracts via Sakani app during January 2022
Sakani Program issued 6,221 electronic contracts for residential lands for Saudi beneficiary families of the program during the past month of January 2022 through its electronic application, within the diverse housing options and financial solutions provided by Sakani to facilitate first home ownership and to raise the Saudi household ownership rate to 70% by the year 2030 in line with the targets of the Housing Program - one of Vision 2030 programs.
In a press statement today, Sakani clarified that the lands included 1,440 plots in Riyadh region, 418 plots in Makkah region, 1,222 plots in the Eastern region, 559 plots in Qassim region, 601 plots in Jazan region, 481 plots in Najran region, 647 plots in Asir region, 244 plots in the Madinah region, 297 plots in Hail region, 62 plots for Sakani beneficiaries in Al-Jawf region, 79 plots in the Northern Borders region, 123 plots in Baha region, and 48 plots in Tabuk region.
The Program indicated that this number is an extension of the previously issued electronic contracts for lands within the plans provided by Sakani website and application for beneficiary families of housing support in all cities and regions of the Kingdom through easy electronic procedures, mentioning that the land areas reach up to 500 square meters per plot. Reservation procedures, site inspections, and suitable plot plans can be completed through Sakani program's website link.
Sakani offers a variety of housing options and financial solutions to meet the desires and aspirations of families, including benefiting from the subsidized real estate loan to purchase ready residential units, purchasing units under construction within Sakani projects in partnership with the private sector, as well as benefiting from the subsidized real estate loan for self-building for those who own residential lands.
Sakani website and application provide a number of plans, totaling 223 residential plans offering 180,000 plots, in addition to providing over 148,000 various units in terms of models, designs, and areas including apartments, villas, and townhouses within 114 residential projects being mostly implemented in cities and regions of the Kingdom in partnership with the private sector and overseen by the map-based sales or leasing program 'Wafi'. Sakani also offers various housing services including real estate advisor, in-kind support, electronic unit inspections and reservations, issuance of financial institutions' quotations, engineering designs, issuance of electronic building permits and 'Real Estate Transactions Tax Certificate', approved contractors, and other services.
It is worth mentioning that Sakani Program benefited over 225,000 families during the past year of 2021, with over 186,000 families having moved into their homes. The Program aims to enable more first home ownership by providing diverse housing options and solutions that meet their aspirations and capabilities to achieve the targets of the Housing Program - one of Vision 2030 programs.
