- Sakani website and application issue 622 thousand real estate transaction tax certificates
A report of "Sakani" program issued in February revealed that 622,176 certificates bearing real estate transaction tax were issued for the first housing unit since the beginning of the program until the end of January. The report also highlighted the developments in the housing sector in terms of the number of Saudi families benefiting from the diverse housing and financing options provided electronically by "Sakani" through its website and application, as well as updates on projects being implemented in partnership with the private sector.
The report showed that 19,353 families benefited in January, with 18,890 families moving into their homes by utilizing the supported mortgage option to purchase ready and under-construction housing units within "Sakani" projects, as well as the self-build option and available residential lands within "Sakani" website and application to facilitate ownership and increase it to 70% by 2030 in accordance with the housing program targets - one of the programs of Vision 2030. "Sakani" report included details of construction updates in 95 projects providing over 120,000 housing units under construction in partnership with private real estate developers across all regions and cities of the Kingdom within 114 projects offering over 148,000 units including apartments, villas, and townhouses at an average price of 700,000 Saudi riyals with high-quality construction to enhance the quality of life for Saudi families.
The report addressed residential lands and development of plans, with "Sakani" electronic website and application enabling the reservation and electronic issuance of contracts for lands within 223 residential plans offering over 180,000 residential lands distributed across various regions and cities of the Kingdom, accessible by visiting the electronic platform of "Sakani" program via the link.
Furthermore, the report highlighted the electronic services provided by "Sakani" application and website with ease and simplicity around the clock, including registration, immediate eligibility assessment, reviewing housing options, financial offers in partnership with 18 entities, immediate reservation of units and lands, issuance of land contracts, real estate advisor, real estate market options, typical designs for self-build beneficiaries, electronic building permits issuance, approved contractors, and other services.
