The White Land Program announced the issuance of its fees for the sixth cycle in the first phase in Jeddah for the year 1443/1444 AH, calling on those obligated to take the initiative to develop their lands or pay within one year from the date of issuance of the decision.

The program explained in a press release today that failure to pay the fee within the specified period will result in a penalty of up to 100% of the fee amount. It also stated that the evaluation mechanism, land valuation, and applicable fee can be viewed on the website.   idlelands.housing.gov.sa   .

The program had announced the billing of the sixth cycle for the city of Riyadh during the past days, and on December 15, it announced the implementation of the second phase of fees in conjunction with the implementation of the first phase in more than 140 neighborhoods in the city of Riyadh according to the approved map and scope, as there are 110 days left until the end of the regular registration deadline in Riyadh.

It is noted that the amendment to the regulations for white land fees included three implementation phases. The first phase includes undeveloped lands with an area of (10) thousand m2 or more located within the scope determined by the Ministry. The second phase includes developed lands with an area of (10) thousand m2 or more, and developed lands for one owner with areas of (10) thousand m2 or more in one plan within the scope determined by the Ministry. The third phase includes developed lands with an area of 5,000 m2 or more, and the total developed lands for one owner with areas of 10,000 m2 or more in one city within the scope determined by the Ministry.

The amendments included the possibility of applying more than one phase in one city, in addition to the Ministry conducting a periodic review of the situation in any city to decide whether to apply the fees on the lands therein, or to suspend the application, or to apply one or more phases to bypass a certain phase and move to the next phase in the same city. In addition, a royal decree was issued in August 2020, stipulating that invoices for white land fees are considered contracts, privileges, and penal documents according to the State Revenue System.
