The White Land Program clarified that the necessary regulatory procedures for announcing the start of the first phase in a number of new cities are nearing completion, in accordance with the results of the demographic and economic studies conducted by the program in cooperation with relevant authorities. During its participation in the Maskan Real Estate Exhibition in Riyadh, it indicated that Qassim and Hail are the next cities to implement the first phase of the fees, and the implementation of the fees in them will be announced during the coming period.

This comes as part of the program’s efforts and objectives to increase the supply of developed land in the most in-demand cities, thereby achieving a balance between supply and demand, providing residential land at reasonable prices and combating monopolies.

The program confirmed that it operates according to international standards in real estate studies and their impact ratios in the targeted cities, to monitor all lands subject to fees, complete their geospatial data, evaluate them, and impose fees on them according to the mechanisms followed and approved during the study of the urban scope. The program also makes continuous efforts to educate landowners about the systems and procedures followed and to clarify the best ways to invest in and develop these lands.

It is worth mentioning that the program is implementing its first phase in (Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Dammam metropolitan area, Madinah, Asir metropolitan area, Taif, Jazan region, Tabuk, and Al-Ahsa), in addition to implementing the second phase in the city of Riyadh. The first phase includes undeveloped lands with an area of 10,000 square meters or more in the specified area for each city.
