The program has registered nearly one million contracts this year.

More than 450,000 electronic payment transactions were processed through "Ejar" during the first half of 2022.

The Ejar program announced that payments made through electronic channels on the electronic rental services network exceeded 450,000 transactions during the first half of 2022. It explained that the electronic payments for rental payments made through the electronic rental services network varied between annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly payments, in addition to user balance top-ups on the network. It clarified that all its services, including financial services, would facilitate rental transactions and preserve the rights of the parties, resulting in the documentation of about one million rental contracts during the current year.

The program explained in a press release today that electronic payment of rents establishes financial transactions between the parties to the rental process, preserves their rights, and enhances trust between them. Electronic payment processes eliminate the need for cash transactions and issuing receipts for rent, as electronic payments through electronic channels (SADAD and Mada) are considered valid proof of rent payment. In addition, they facilitate financial collection procedures and monitoring of financial transactions, making it easier for the parties to agree on short payment periods, including monthly and quarterly, and to meet the needs of beneficiaries. This aims to facilitate the payment process for the tenant, as partial or future rent payments are possible, and to organize the collection process for the landlord by registering the landlord's bank account on the network during the contract registration, to transfer financial payments from payment channels directly to the landlord's account.

Ejar had previously announced the addition of a number of services, such as the rental index, receipt and delivery, rental behavior, and electronic contract documentation directly through the network, in addition to providing various payment channels for paying rental payments, including: “Mada” and “SADAD”, and topping up balances, in addition to having strategic partnerships with other entities, which enable the transfer of services in the name of the actual user of the rental unit.
