Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, will inaugurate the third session of the exhibition (Distinguished Cities Projects in the Era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques) in Riyadh, from September 24 to 28, 2022, with the participation of many governmental and private entities, which will be accompanied by a forum entitled (The Effects of the National Transformation Program on Saudi Cities).
The exhibition, which includes the participation of more than 70 entities, sectors and institutions, aims to highlight and showcase the major projects that the Kingdom is witnessing being implemented through effective partnership between the public and private sectors, to develop and improve all regions, cities and governorates of the Kingdom, in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The exhibition and its accompanying forum will also discuss, through 8 dialogue sessions and 10 workshops, several important topics with the participation of 46 speakers, related to Saudi cities, including the positive impact of the Vision initiatives on Saudi cities, the future of economic and investment opportunities in various regions and cities of the Kingdom, sustainability in housing and the challenges facing the development of Saudi cities, as well as discussing practices and experiences of city development and urban development, in addition to matters related to infrastructure and municipal services and their sustainability, and the impact of the Vision initiatives on smart city service strategies.
The event will showcase the most prominent investment opportunities in urban development and the urban environment, ways to develop cities and achieve urban development in them, the sustainability of infrastructure and municipal services in them, and the development of smart cities. The efforts of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and the participating entities in the journey of development and growth of Saudi cities and their urban sustainability during the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - will also be presented with the aim of raising the quality of life in cities and improving services.
It is worth mentioning that the exhibition is being held in conjunction with the nation’s celebrations of the 92nd anniversary of the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the founder, King Abdulaziz - may God have mercy on him - and in celebration of the achievements of Vision 2030 with regard to urban development and improving the quality of life in cities.
