The Off-Plan Sales and Leasing Committee (Wafi) confirmed that the real estate projects it supervises in the Eastern Province cover an area of approximately 10 million square meters, comprising more than 19,000 real estate units in 35 projects that varied between villas, apartments, townhouses, and residential lands distributed across 5 cities, whether they are projects implemented by real estate developers for beneficiaries of the “Sakani” program or projects from the private sector. This is within the framework of enhancing the supply of housing units and contributing to increasing the rate of homeownership for Saudi families in line with the objectives of the Housing Program – one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

This was explained by the Secretary-General of the Off-Plan Sales and Leasing Committee, Naif bin Nawaf Al-Sharif, who pointed out that efforts are ongoing and continuous to enhance investment opportunities for real estate developers in various regions of the Kingdom, and to attract them to inject more investments into the sector; in a way that helps to achieve the public interest, through setting regulatory controls for projects with all their services, from qualification programs and issuing licenses related to off-plan sales, leasing, or even marketing of residential, commercial, industrial, tourism, and service projects, and everything that falls within the sector, with the aim of driving development and contributing to raising the ownership rate to 70% in order to achieve the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 -.

Off-plan sales projects in the city of Dammam amounted to 13 projects with a total developed area of about 5 million square meters, and more than 10,000 residential units with an average completion rate of 80%, including 6 projects in the final completion stage in preparation for handing them over to the beneficiaries.

Al-Khobar and Dhahran included 14 residential projects with developed areas exceeding 1.5 million square meters, including two projects in the handover phase and four in their final construction phases, while the rest of the projects continue to carry out their construction work according to the time plans.

Al-Ahsa Governorate is home to 6 residential projects with a total area exceeding 2 million square meters, providing approximately 4,800 housing units. The completion level in these projects has reached 60%, with one project being fully completed while work continues on the other projects according to the specified timetables.

The Qatif Governorate has increased the real estate supply in the region by developing more than 1.6 million square meters allocated for the construction of 1,138 housing units, with a completion rate exceeding 95%. The “Qatif Homes” project embodies one of the most prominent off-plan sales projects due to its modern designs for contemporary residential neighborhoods, which highlight quality of life standards and humanizing cities in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy.

It is worth mentioning that the Off-Plan Sales and Leasing Committee “Wafi” provides the necessary licenses for off-plan sales projects, and we monitor their completion rates and the quality of their implementation, in addition to motivating and qualifying real estate developers to create distinguished and integrated projects that meet the aspirations of the real estate market. “Wafi” grants off-plan sales licenses for all residential, commercial, industrial and other real estate projects.
