The Sustainable Building Program of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing announced a list of violations by inspection engineers who carry out inspection work and provide services to the program, and the resulting warnings, as part of the program’s efforts to raise the level of commitment of service providers and control the quality of inspection processes.
The program explained in a statement that the list of violations and warnings includes violations of delaying visits to inspection sites and preparing reports, failure to adhere to the quality of its implementation, irregular use, or anything that violates professional ethics and exploits the service applicant.
Sustainable construction also stressed the commitment to service provision systems and regulations, the necessity of having certified professional liability insurance, the duration of accreditation, in addition to the commitment of service providers to acknowledge full responsibility for the services provided and the consequences, and their commitment to the accuracy and updating of data, information and documents submitted to the program.
The program indicated that the quality inspection services in the “Sustainable Building” program are provided to those wishing to build, whether real estate developers or individuals, to verify the quality and safety of construction processes through an inspection mechanism by certified inspection engineers, whereby the residential unit obtains a building quality certificate after its construction is completed and all inspection stages are successfully passed.
It is worth mentioning that the Sustainable Building Program provides its services to individuals and entities to raise the quality and sustainability of real estate, in an effort to improve the quality of units in the market, develop the real estate sector, provide more sustainable housing options, and raise awareness among individuals and developers about the importance of the service to achieve quality and sustainability, in addition to reducing material and economic losses and enhancing safety and quality of life in housing, through the services provided by the program, represented in the inspection of building quality, and the sustainability service for residential and commercial buildings and communities such as existing neighborhoods or lands that are being developed.
