Al-Hogail inspects residential and municipal projects in Al-Baha, and witnesses the inauguration and launch of projects worth over 2 billion riyals

Today, His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, inspected the progress of several municipal and housing projects overseen by the Municipality of Al-Baha Region. This visit aimed to assess the latest developments and levels of achievement. His Excellency also witnessed the inauguration of several completed municipal projects and the launch of a number of new and future projects, in addition to signing agreements and launching various development initiatives, under the generous patronage of the Governor of Al-Baha Region, His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Al-Hogail began his visit by meeting with the Secretary of the Region, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Suwat, along with municipal leaders and officials. He reviewed strategic transformation plans, targets, and municipal indicators, as well as achievements in developmental projects and urban, housing, and sustainability plans in the region. He emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to enhance service quality by preparing and developing infrastructure and improving the urban landscape to enrich the experience of citizens, visitors, and tourists.

The Minister also met with several investors and businessmen at the municipality's headquarters, where they discussed the investment opportunities provided by the Ministry in the municipal and housing sectors as part of developmental programs and initiatives aimed at achieving the objectives of Vision 2030. He highlighted the facilities offered by the Ministry to encourage investment and enhance urban development in the sector.

His Excellency witnessed the Governor of the Region inaugurating several completed municipal projects and laying the foundation stone for new municipal and housing projects valued at 2 billion riyals. These projects include housing initiatives, urban enhancement, quality of life improvements, as well as road construction, flood control, parks, cleanliness, and environmental sanitation.

He also attended the signing of memorandums of understanding between various institutions and civil associations, including a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the Developmental Housing Foundation (Sakan), along with the Al-Baha Developmental Housing Association to provide 700 housing units for the neediest families. Additionally, two cooperation agreements were signed to establish 55 housing units for the neediest families in several housing projects in the region. His Excellency was present for the launch of several community initiatives aimed at enhancing the urban landscape and promoting community participation in environmental preservation and improving quality of life in Al-Baha. The Minister toured several municipal and housing projects in Al-Baha, reviewing the progress of infrastructure development and housing projects in the Al-Rahiq plan, as well as Bahjat Raghadan, Asfar, Kheira Park, the waterfall park, and the suspended bridge projects. He inaugurated several volunteer initiatives in Raghadan Park aimed at promoting volunteer work and community participation in environmental fields and improving the urban landscape in the region.

It is noteworthy that the Minister's visit to Al-Baha is part of a series of inspection visits he conducts in various cities, governorates, and regions of the Kingdom to monitor the Ministry's projects, initiatives, and programs in the municipal and housing sectors, and to oversee the progress of developmental projects, thereby achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
