MOMAH launches “Smart Assistant” and “City Management Platform” at GAIN

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, as part of its participation in the Global AI Summit (GAIN) in Riyadh from September 10-12, 2024, has launched its latest digital services that rely on generative artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in its operations through “Smart Assistant” service and City Management Platform “My City”.

The Smart Assistant Service, available through Baladi application and the Ministry's website, aims to facilitate communication with customers and provide a smart experience that enables them to answer all their inquiries interactively in real-time by employing generative artificial intelligence technologies. It assists customers in obtaining clear and direct answers about the Ministry's services, regulations, and requirements around the clock without human intervention.

The Launching Platform at the summit witnessed the Ministry's launch of City Management Platform “My City”. The Ministry aims for this platform to be a comprehensive central system, activating smart solutions for environmental sanitation and cleanliness within cities at all stages, from waste sources and construction and demolition debris, through organizing their transport, to designated landfills. The platform's operations are managed using a business model based on utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, facilitating monitoring of sanitation activities and activating vehicle tracking along their transportation routes, enhancing the role of smart municipalities in their city operational activities.

It is worth mentioning that the municipal services being developed by the Ministry are part of its efforts to enhance digital transformation processes and activate the role of smart municipalities, providing quality services to various sectors and individuals within the Kingdom's cities.
