His Excellency Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing, today inaugurated the Global Project Management Forum (GPMF) 2025, hosted in Riyadh, in the presence of a distinguished group of specialists, experts, and decision-makers from around the world, including His Excellency Eng. Fahd bin Mohammed Aljubair, Mayor of the Eastern Region.

In his opening remarks, His Excellency emphasized that Vision 2030 has laid the foundation for an ambitious future that redefines the economic, social, and developmental landscape. He stated that project management has become a strategic approach and an essential tool for driving change and delivering sustainable impact—it is no longer merely an operational choice.

His Excellency pointed out that the National Projects Council plays an increasingly important role in unifying efforts and enhancing performance, while government project management offices contribute to strengthening planning, monitoring, and governance practices, ensuring high-quality execution aligned with national objectives.

Al-Hogail highlighted the critical role of project management in shaping the future by addressing needs and promoting sustainability through thoughtful planning that redesigns neighborhoods, enhances quality of life, and places people at the center of development.

He further explained that the success of this approach requires clarity of objectives, flexible systems, innovation in planning, and collaboration across different entities. He noted that the construction sector in the Kingdom comprises more than 133,000 establishments and over 1.6 million individuals who contribute daily to building a new reality, smart cities, and integrated development. He emphasized that project management empowers organizations to anticipate, respond, and execute with agility, contributing to improved performance and higher-quality outcomes.

The Global Project Management Forum (GPMF) 2025 is considered one of the most prominent international events in the field. It brings together more than 13,000 specialists and stakeholders from over 100 countries, featuring 120 international speakers, 60 discussion panels, and 16 training workshops—underscoring the Kingdom’s global leadership in driving developmental and institutional transformations.
