MOMAH Launches the Updated Draft Implementing Regulations of the Law of White Land Tax on Istitlaa Platform

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has announced the launch of the updated draft Implementing Regulations of the Law of White Land Tax on Istitlaa platform, affiliated with the National Competitiveness Center, inviting all interested parties and specialists to share their views and comments during the public consultation period.

This initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to promoting transparency and community participation, and to supporting the development of the real estate sector in alignment with the objectives of Vision 2030 and its ambitious housing programs.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of participation by developers, citizens, and stakeholders through Istitlaa platform, noting that all feedback and suggestions will be carefully reviewed before issuing the final version of the regulations. It further explained that the approval of amendments to the Law of White Land Tax is part of ongoing efforts to regulate the real estate sector and achieve balanced and sustainable urban development that serves citizens. The Ministry also noted that the Regulations on Vacant Property Fees is scheduled to be issued within one year from the date of publication of the Law in the Official Gazette.

It is worth mentioning that the decision to approve the amendments to the Law of White Land Tax was published in the Umm Al-Qura Official Gazette on Monday, 14 Dhul-Qi’dah 1446 H (May 12, 2025), following the Council of Ministers' approval during its session held on Tuesday, 1 Dhul-Qi’dah 1446 H (April 29, 2025).
