- “Baladi” Signs Strategic Memorandum of Understanding with “Aseer Municipality” to Enhance Quality of Life and Digital Transformation
Baladi, affiliated with NHC Innovation, signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Aseer Municipality, aiming to cooperate in vital areas that contribute to enhancing quality of life, developing digital municipal services, and supporting training and innovation, in a way that improves beneficiary experiences and aligns with the digital transformation goals of the municipal sector.
The MoU was signed by His Excellency the Mayor of the Aseer Region, Engineer Abdullah bin Mahdi Al-Jali, and the CEO of Baladi, Yasser bin Nasser Al-Obaidan, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail.
The CEO of Baladi explained that this partnership supports the objectives of Vision 2030 by enabling digital transformation in the municipal and housing sectors, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering innovative services that meet the aspirations of citizens and residents, while contributing to building sustainable smart cities based on data and modern technologies.
The MoU aims to establish a strategic partnership between the two parties to provide smart municipal services that enhance beneficiary satisfaction and improve the quality of life for the region’s residents and visitors. It also covers cooperation in training and capacity building by providing Aseer Municipality employees with opportunities to participate in workshops and training programs organized by Baladi, as well as exchanging expertise to develop competencies and improve team readiness.
The MoU also includes exploring the implementation of a “Digital Twin” project within the municipality to support urban planning decisions through data analysis and understanding market and beneficiary needs, thus enhancing decision-making efficiency and promoting urban sustainability. Additionally, it covers the development and operation of “Fast Track” services and the provision of innovative technical solutions based on high operational standards, inspired by best local and global practices in the municipal services sector.
